Celebrating the Written Word II: Creative Writing for Ages 10–14
In this playful expansion class, young writers will continue exploring the magic of language while deepening the skills they began developing in Creative I. Students will dive further into the art of storytelling and poetry through new projects that encourage imagination, voice, and creativity.
We’ll experiment with more advanced writing techniques, such as crafting realistic dialogue and building memorable characters, while continuing to celebrate the joy of self-expression. Fun writing activities and group challenges will keep ideas flowing, and students will transform their words into new artistic projects that showcase their unique voices. Some light homework may be assigned as needed to complete writing pieces.
As always, sharing work is optional but encouraged in our supportive, confidence-building environment. This class is open to both returning and advanced students who are ready to stretch their creativity and take their writing to the next level!
